The Right Environment During One of the Most Important Seasons of Life
Every parent remembers middle school.
For some, it was exciting. For others, it was awkward, uncomfortable, and challenging. For most people, it was a combination of both.
Middle school is a unique season of life where young people experience tremendous physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth. Students begin asking bigger questions about who they are, where they belong, what they believe, and who they want to become.
Confidence is being built. Character is being shaped. Habits are being formed. Friendships become increasingly important. At the same time, boys and girls often mature at very different rates and experience these years in very different ways.
At Liberty Launch Academy, we believe these years deserve intentional attention. That belief is what led us to create our Liberty Launch middle school Boys Academy and Girls Academy.
Rather than treating middle school as simply a stepping stone between elementary and high school, we see it as one of the most important developmental periods in a young person's life. Our goal is to create an environment where students feel known, supported, challenged, and understood as they navigate this critical season.
OUR APPROACH
Within the Boys Academy, young men are surrounded by strong male mentors, guides, coaches, and Human Builders who help them develop confidence, discipline, leadership, responsibility, and resilience. Through mentorship, physical challenges, outdoor experiences, service opportunities, leadership development, sports, and our Warrior Rite of Passage program, boys learn what it means to become capable young men who serve others, take responsibility, and pursue excellence.
The Warrior Rite of Passage is designed to help boys intentionally move from childhood toward manhood.
Through meaningful experiences, challenges, mentorship, and reflection, students develop practical life skills, leadership abilities, confidence, and a deeper understanding of what it means to live with integrity, courage, and purpose.
Within the Girls Academy, young women are surrounded by exceptional female mentors and guides who help them develop confidence, leadership, communication skills, resilience, emotional intelligence, and a strong sense of identity.
Through mentorship, leadership opportunities, service projects, wellness education, creative experiences, girls are encouraged to embrace their strengths, discover their passions, and grow into confident young women prepared to lead meaningful lives.
We also recognize that healthy interactions between boys and girls remain incredibly important. Students continue to share lunches, life skills experiences, field trips, projects, electives, and community experiences throughout the week. They learn how to communicate, collaborate, and build healthy relationships with one another while still benefiting from dedicated spaces and experiences designed specifically for their unique developmental needs.
The result is a middle school experience unlike any other. One that reduces unnecessary social pressures, creates greater opportunities for confidence and belonging, and provides students with mentors who are deeply invested in helping them become exceptional young men and women.
