We do not teach a Christian curriculum, however faith is a part of our daily lives, and so it shows up at school. And because we believe in religious, medical & educational freedom, there are no religious requirements to attend LLA.
At Liberty Launch Academy we believe that spirituality plays an important part in helping children turn into whole and healthy adults. This world can be overwhelming, and the faith that a family has instilled in their child helps them to feel calm and loved through all the changes that adolescence brings.
We respect the many religions, denominations, and spiritual practices of our student body and their families.
We believe that every child should have the freedom to express their spiritual beliefs in all parts of their life, including their school life.
We believe spirituality and faith provides young people with a moral compass, teaches them how to think of others before themselves, and gives a deep sense of belonging, hope, courage and purpose.
Respect for each other’s religious beliefs is at the core of creating a safe space and brave students. So, you might wonder, how does faith show up at school?
Students have the ability to decorate their pods with expressions of their faith
Students can share their faith through art, stories, papers, projects
At some events and assemblies, we may hold a moment of prayer, silence and gratitude
We say the pledge of allegiance
There are optional bible study clubs
We have set up “Zen Zones” where students can de-stress, practice kindness, mindfulness, breath work, stretching & journaling.
Teachers can speak to each other with phrases like “I’ll pray for you”.
We teach and believe in the golden rule

An “alternative school” generally refers to an educational institution that deviates from traditional schooling approaches, however in many contexts, calling a school “alternative” refers specifically to schools serving students who have learning disabilities or behavioral challenges. Because the definition of an “alternative” school is nuanced and means different things to different people, we’d like to share where we land.
Liberty Launch Academy is neither traditional nor alternative, we are an Experiential School. While Liberty Launch is alternative in the sense that we don’t follow traditional educational models, we need to be transparent that we are not currently resourced to serve students with learning disabilities and behavioral challenges.
Because we are an experiential school, many students that struggle in conventional classroom/lecture style settings DO thrive at Liberty Launch. And because of our unique hands-on & experiential learning approach, many parents ask how they’ll know if liberty launch is a right fit for their child? And here’s how we guide them:
If at your current school, your child’s teacher makes more than minor adjustments to accommodate for their learning style or behavioral challenges, LLA may not be a good fit.
If your child currently has an IEP, LLA will likely not be a good fit.
Liberty Launch Academy can only provide “minor adjustments” for a student with learning difficulties and/or documented physical/mental health issues in order to help the student succeed academically, emotionally and personally. Also, while we offer resources for support, such as guidance, we are unable to accommodate extreme behaviors that require interventions, as counseling services are not available.
The team at Liberty Launch wants every child to find a school community that is a right fit for their unique learning style, and while we are a fit some students, we are not a right fit for everyone. If you are feeling unsure if Liberty Launch would be a good fit for your child, send us an email and we’ll schedule time to chat. Together we’ll work to determine the type of schooling your child needs & deserves.

he Liberty Launch model can be summed up as: educational choice in an experiential hands-on environment to grow life skills for the 21st century.
Our school is built on a foundation of 4 commitments to students & parents:
1) Integrated & Hands-on Academics
At Liberty Launch we have a teaching approach and environment where students learn by doing. They will connect concepts and skills across different subject areas, allowing them to see how knowledge is interconnected rather than learning each subject in isolation.
Essentially, it’s a learning experience where lessons are designed to weave together elements of math, science, history, and language arts to foster a deeper understanding of topics through real-world application.
2) Whole Child Development
At Liberty Launch Academy, we’re shaping individuals who excel academically while embodying the resilience, integrity, and passion needed to create a meaningful impact on the world. We are inspiring the next generation of change agents, and we call them Warriors! In every LLA Warrior, we are developing a:
Principled Heart
Activated Mind
Efficient Body
Warrior WIll
Expanded Impact in Community
3) Student Choice & Voice
Learning Pathways are designed to provide personalized learning experiences for High School students. These pathways are project-based and cross-curricular, ensuring that students’ training and academic studies are focused on their specific field of interest.
Students will continue to meet graduation requirements by earning credits in core subject areas, seamlessly integrating their passion into academics.
Over time, students in all grades are exposed to each learning pathway, then they select one pathway by the end of 10th grade. During 11th & 12th grades, we build the student’s schedule to go deep into the chosen pathway.
At Liberty Launch, your child will have the opportunity to explore the following pathways:
College
Business & Entrepreneurship
Music
Career/Trades
Athletics & Wellness
Culinary
4) Community Reimagined
Family life shouldn’t be so hectic. At Liberty Launch, we have built a school that is interconnected with work, health, creativity, and community, because parents deserve to feel content & connected as they navigate the adventure of raising kids.
We are so serious about the whole family being healthy that we built a lifestyle campus & community just for parents.
Liberty Launch is a part of the Møde Campus that’s been designed to elevate how you work, move and connect. Our vision is that you don’t just drop kids off at school, but rather we are a single stop that checks many items off your ‘to do’ list and more importantly that we live life in community together.
Liberty Launch parents are more connected to community when they choose to:
Work at Møde
Exercise at Møde
Get Well at Møde
Create at Møde

Academic Accommodations: In the context of our mission and curriculum, and given our limited resources as a private school, Liberty Launch Academy can only provide “minor adjustments” for a student with learning difficulties and/or documented physical/mental health issues in order to help the student succeed academically, emotionally and personally.
-
Behavioral Accommodations: At Liberty Launch Academy, we foster an environment conducive to academic excellence and personal growth. While we offer resources for support, such as guidance, we are unable to accommodate extreme behaviors that require interventions, as counseling services are not available. Our focus remains on providing a positive and focused learning environment for all students.
STUDENT LIFE
-
At Liberty Launch we believe that homework has a place, only when it has a purpose.
We will not give homework just for the sake of creating busy work. When homework is assigned, we’ll do so with the intention and purpose of helping your student progress in their learning.
Many students have little to no homework.
If your elementary aged child is assigned homework, it likely will be a proactive approach to ensure they do not fall behind in an area that presents frustration or challenge. For example, we may ask elementary aged students to read at home with their parents. When parents are active participants in their child’s learning, it deepens the knowledge and grows healthy habits.
In middle school, we work with students on how to effectively manage their time & projects. This is a real time of transition, and students who do not use class time effectively may need to bring some class work or project work home for completion.
In high school, please expect there to be a moderate amount of homework. Typically you’ll find your teen working on school projects or college courses they’ve chosen to take.
Again, please remember that we are intentional in assigning any homework and have designed that work to help them progress in their skill set.
Liberty Launch Academy is neither traditional nor alternative, we are an Experiential School. While Liberty Launch is alternative in the sense that we don’t follow traditional educational models, we need to be transparent that we are not currently resourced to serve students with learning disabilities and behavioral challenges.

Attendance and punctuality is important for the academic success of your child.
Please help them be on time to school (we start at 8:30 AM)
Absences are excused for illness, and parents should contact our attendance line at 855.835.8082 to notify us of an absence
When you enroll in Liberty Launch Academy, our expectation is that you are committing to attend school for the full academic year, with only occasional absences for illness, injury and doctors visits. We have intentionally kept our school year short and have calendared many week long breaks to accommodate family travel and vacation.
When longer absence from school is requested for unexcused reasons, we will try to work with and accommodate a family’s needs, but will not be available to help your child “catch up” with missed days and work. It is a parent’s responsibility to communicate with the school and make arrangements to coordinate their child’s learning during the time of absence.

Yes. P.E. classes are an integral part of our students’ daily routine. P.E. is a core class at our school; not just an elective once a week. In our program, we exemplify principles of healthy mind, body, attitude, grit, & growth.

Liberty Launch Academy is committed to being a wholesome school environment. We have created a safe, supportive, and positive space where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our focus is on developing the whole human, not just the academics.
Secured & Monitored Facilities
The physical school facility is secured and monitored through multiple measures to ensure the safety of students and staff. Access to the building is restricted, with Salto key locks in place for staff use only. All entry doors are video monitored, allowing us to track and control who enters the facility. Additionally, our location on the second floor adds an extra layer of security, limiting direct access from the outside. During recess times and other high-traffic periods, several staff members are actively on duty to supervise and ensure a safe environment.
Background Checks & Visitor Safety
All adults who work directly with students, both staff & volunteers, undergo a background check. Anyone visiting the school is required to check in at the front office and are escorted through the facility by a Liberty Launch staff member. Visitors only have access to students while under the direct supervision of an LLA staff member, and are never left alone with children. The one exception is for high school students that participate in outside programs or internships, and these arrangements are always communicated to parents in advance and require parental permission.
Bullying
Bullying is defined as repeated, intentional aggressive behavior that involves an imbalance of power between the individuals involved. It can be verbal, physical, social, or digital and is meant to cause harm, distress, or fear. If a student is being bullied at school, we will address the situation immediately and enforce appropriate consequences as needed. Our goal is to educate students on healthy relationships, boundaries, and conflict resolution skills while fostering a positive and supportive school culture.
